Companion Team invitation —
Hello all, after much slow listening and building of our internal resources, we're ready to invite what we're calling '𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴' for únashay's inaugural 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺.
The team will consist of 6-10 members, who will commit to a year of 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 and 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. They will meet bi-monthly to collaborate, deepen, and dialogue with únashay staff and various guest presenters. They will serve in an unpaid capacity as a 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 for 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘊𝘢𝘧é𝘴 and community gatherings, and will be called upon (depending on availability) as 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 for land-based 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘴.
This role does 𝘯𝘰𝘵 require that you hold a credential or license in any profession⎯ however we are seeking to develop a team that reflects a spectrum of skills, backgrounds, identities, and approaches. We especially encourage to apply:
≻ Bilingual/ multilingual individuals, queer kin, bipoc, elders, licensed providers (i.e. nurses, therapists with skills/ awareness in grief, loss, gender, sexuality), bodyworkers, emergency responders, trauma-imformed professionals, artists 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, chefs, ritualists, herbalists, bereavement workers, writers, doulas, land and water listeners/ stewards, to name a few ≺
The 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 is an emergent form in únashay's ecology. As a member, you will help to shape this offering from the start⎯ please consider this opportunity as an 𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 in building community structures to meet grief, not a one-time gig. The longer term vision for the Companion Team includes the plan to grow and develop this team to become a functional 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧-𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 for unmet grief throughout Northern New Mexico (and beyond), capable of responding to acute loss and grief-in-motion.
The team can choose to serve in Rio Arriba, Taos, Santa Fe, and Bernallillo Counties, and/ or online offerings (for global community).
To learn more, please read the role description and apply by May 1st.
